The projects we support

Your contribution, made tangible

Every participant contributes to all projects from which we buy carbon credits or which we support financially; you do not pick a single project, you support the whole portfolio. The result: clean cooking energy, stronger local communities and lower CO₂ emissions.

Solar cookers for refugees

Thanks to FairClimateFund and ADES, families in the Iridimi and Touloum camps cook with solar energy: 10,000 solar cookers installed and 115,334 tonnes of CO₂ reduced (source: FairClimateFund, September 2026). Green QR Code buys carbon credits from this project.

Processing rice straw in Thailand
Thailand

Packaging made from rice straw

Together with Kasetsart University (KAPI), Gracz developed food-safe, compostable packaging made from rice straw (as stated by Gracz). This avoids PM2.5 emissions from burning agricultural waste and gives farmers extra income. Green QR Code supports this project with a financial contribution; it does not generate carbon credits.

Anti-greenwashing

How to substantiate your sustainability claim

Greenwashing is no longer a marketing slip but a serious legal risk: in the Netherlands the consumer authority ACM can impose fines of up to €900,000 or, if higher, 10% of annual turnover, and from 27 September 2026 EU Directive 2024/825 bans, among other things, claims such as “climate neutral” based on offsetting. With Green QR Code every scan shows which projects you support: a concrete, verifiable contribution, not a neutrality claim.
